Homeboy of the Week: Cesar Blanco

El Paso legislators have a reputation for fighting.

And its usually not in a good way. They are usually fighting for all the wrong reasons, fighting with other members of the legislature and making a spectacle of themselves.

But what they generally do best is fight with each other.

So its nice when someone takes a righteous stand on a bad bill. If you're going to fight for something, it might as well be fighting against the Sanctuary Cities Bill.

Cesar Blanco is my rep and I have great representation at ever level of government where I live. I'm proud Cesar stood up for what is right. I'm proud he stood up for El Paso and other border communities.

But most of all, I'm proud he stood up for raza. We are missing that in our leaders these days.

When is he running for Congress (TX23)?

He lives in 16 not 23

Vince Perez would make a better leader than Cesar Blanco in Austin or D.C.
few good leaders in this town.

It is a good thing he lived in 16. Because there is no way in hell he has enough charisma to beat Will Hurd.

He's a great person and Vince would be left in the dust in an election. If you believe Vince is a good leader I'd hate to see what is considered a bad one.

Cesar is a fighter. My issue with him is that like El Pasoan politicians he spends too much time representing the Juarezes and ignores the rest of the people. There are other nationalities and ethic groups in El Paso. If he can step out of his ethnocentric bubble he would beat Escobar and go on to be a great Congressman

You don't have to live in the district you want to run for. Look at the chick from Houston contemplating running here in El Paso. Btw, what a dumbass.

Blanco was fired from Gallegoss office. Why would he think he could be their representative? And he isn't from here so why run here?
I can't think of a damn thing he has done for this city.
